| LaPorte backs St.Joseph in
move to Central time LAPORTE, Ind. (AP) -- County commissioners are backing neighboring St. Joseph County's request to move into the Central time zone. St. Joseph was one of 17 Indiana counties that earlier this year asked the U.S. Department of Transportation to move it to the Central time zone after the state Legislature voted to put all of the state on daylight saving time.
