Vigo County Expected to Follow Indy`s Lead on Time Zone ( Air Date: 8/31/2005 ) WTWO NewsChannel 2 Time is of the essence for Vigo County leaders -- as in time zone. Indiana counties soon have to make their wishes known about which Daylight Saving Time zone they prefer. The Vigo County Commissioners office has received numerous calls from people asking when a decision will be made. Commissioner Paul Mason says Vigo County`s decision will be easy. He says it makes sense for Vigo County to do whatever Indianapolis does. It appears most people want to be on Eastern Time. Mason says his office has received few calls from Vigo County residents wanting Central Daylight Saving time.
