Time antics won't be forgotten Published: Monday, August 01, 2005 -- The Truth, Local Opinion I agree with The Truth's editorial calling for Central time for Elkhart County ("Central time for county," July 27). I also agree with Mike Collins of Channel 22 when he said that they might rescind their vote on the time change next year. My guess is that the state will be split in half like it was 50 years ago. Daniels, Riegsecker and Ulmer are laying low thinking this will blow over by the time they are up for re-election. Guess again. This might be the only issue voters will have on their minds when they enter the voting booths. This issue will not be forgotten, guaranteed. Our three county commissioners, by remaining silent, show me that they have no backbone. How can anyone vote for somebody like that? I think the Republican leadership of Elkhart County should look for quality people to run against our incumbents or risk losing their seats to Democrats in upcoming elections. RAY EASH Middlebury
