He likes it to be dark by 10 p.m. in summer

I hope all the daylight-saving time fanatics are happy. Not only did Gov. Mitch Daniels cram this accursed bill through the state legislature, we also have to endure being on Eastern Daylight Time. Perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but I like it to be dark at 10 p.m. in the summer. Whatever happened to Daniels' promise that he would strongly advocate that Indiana be in the Central Time Zone? Guess the corporate interests told him to keep his mouth shut on that one.

I'm not going to hold my breath for the economic boom that DST is supposed to bring. But one business that DST will ruin will be the drive-in theaters. Way to go, Mitch. I can't wait until 2008 to do everything in my power to defeat you for re-election.
